Bears in the Park is a caring pre-school offering safe, fun, early year’s education. We strive to ensure our children became creative, resilient, self-confident independent learners and thinkers and happy out-going communicators.
We hope that the children at Bears in the Park will learn, through play, to express themselves, problem solve, experiment and continue on the road to independence, learn to make the right choices and decisions whilst socialising and making friends. The children will be able to explore and consolidate their learning in a way that will make sense of the world around them in an environment of nurturing support and care.
We provide a high quality provision in a rich and challenging environment, both indoor and outdoor. We do this by providing well balanced planning for each child and an extensive range of interesting, stimulating activities. Our aim is to create an environment where your child can explore, learn, create and imagine!
To ensure that children have a maximised rounded learning experience we make use of our outside play area. Children benefit from fresh air and the opportunity for play, exploration and fun in the garden with a range of outdoor toys and sensory experiences. Here the children can feel and see for themselves the weather and the seasons; plant seeds and watch them grow; make ‘mud pies’ and hunt for mini-beasts!
We understand that children learn effectively through play and benefit from sensitive interactions from adults who support their learning and enhance their learning environment.
We maintain the ratio of adults to children in the setting that is set by the Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements. This helps us to:
- give time and attention to each child
- talk with the children about their interests and activities
- help children to experience and benefit from the activities we provide
- allow the children to explore and be adventurous in safety
Although, the following is by no means exhaustive, we hope that it will give you a flavour of who we are, what we are trying to achieve, and also go some way to answering your questions.
