Fees and Funding

A registration deposit of £30 is required upon the offer of a place.

Government funding for 30 hours – please contact for more information.

*Government funding is for 15 hours per week and starts the term after the child’s third birthday.

All children aged 3 and 4 are entitled to up to 15 hours per week of free (Government funded) early learning and childcare (subject to a maximum of 570 hours per year). Children become eligible for this funded place at the start of the school term following their 3rd birthday and the entitlement lasts up until the term they turn 5 (the term of their 5th birthday). A child must attend school the term after they turn 5 (Statutory School Age).

With effect from September 2017 some children will qualify for up to 30 hours of free childcare. [Further information to follow]

We will accept certain childcare vouchers, please ask for further details.

At Bears in the Park Pre-school all regular scheduled fees must be paid by the 1st day of the month for which they relate.

Irregular extra sessional fees will be invoiced at the conclusion of the week in which they occurred and are expected to be settled within 7 calendar days.

Lunch club, extra to a morning (9am to 12pm) session, and any other additional Temporary Hours cannot be used as part of the 15 hours Government funding. These will attract a fee of £5.70 per hour.

Fees must still be paid if children are absent for a short period of time. If your child has to be absent over a long period of time and you wish us to keep their place at the pre-school please consult either the pre-school manager (Fran Lyons) or the business manager (Tim Caseley).
